Call for ideas "How can we reduce waste at the university?"
Together, we can shape a zero-waste everyday life at the university!
The European Week for Waste Reduction takes place every year throughout Europe in the end of November. This year, we would like to invite you, students in Freiburg, to develop and share your ideas on waste reduction in your student everyday life and at the dormitories. Without doubt, you are the local experts and know better than anyone else where waste is generated at the university and how we can limit it together. Your input is important!
You can submit ideas about 2 distinct topics:
Topic A: How to reduce waste at my student dorm?
Topic B: How to reduce waste at my university?
The call for ideas targets students above 18 studying at any of the universities at Freiburg. Please note that topic B can only be answered by students immatriculated at faculties of the University of Freiburg. Ideas related to the university canteens (Mensa) are outside the scope of question B. Your participation is free of charge. Each person may submit up to 3 ideas. You can also develop and submit your answers as a team.
Here is what you can win:
- 3 drink and food vouchers from SWFR with a respective value of 50, 30 und 20 EUR
- 3 shopping vouchers from the zero-waste shop Glaskiste unverpackt GmbH with a respective value of 50, 30 und 20 EUR
Our goal is to award prizes to the best proposals and implement these ideas at the university or in the student dormitories. The call for ideas is a joint initiative of the students of the Master's program Environmental Governance, the Studierendenwerk (SWFR), the zero waste store Glaskiste unverpackt GmbH and the Department of Environmental Protection Office at the University of Freiburg.
To participate in the call for ideas, please fill out the participation form, sign it and send it together with your contributions to : nachhaltig@zv.uni-freiburg.de. You can sign the pdf-form digitally to avoid further paper waste.
