Participation in the Climate Strike „Fridays for Future” (20.09.2019)

The third global climate strike will take place on September 20. While the UN Climate Summit is being prepared in New York and the climate cabinet is meeting in Berlin, people from all over the world will take to the streets under the motto "Fridays for future" and demand climate justice and climate action.  In Freiburg, the event will begin on Friday (20.09) at 10 a.m. at the Old Synagogue Square. According to ver.di, as committed Freiburg citizens, employees of the University of Freiburg can take part in the event in their free time after consultation with their superiors. The term strike is not correct, as strikes in Germany only take place in the context of wage disputes.
